Whats up guys...I'm currently in a debate with myself on this. I am fully capable of doing a sr swap myself(from what I've read it doesn't even seem difficult), but I also leaning towards keeping with the vg platform.

Finding a tt front clip from a reliable source at a decent price is becoming rather difficult. So what all misc. parts would I need say if I just bought tt motor and trans?

There are tons of threads on this subject, if you look at the sticky at the top of the Technical section, there are two threads in there. But, I will help you out a little bit.

It's very possible to do this without buying a clip. But, be aware of JDM engines that aren't in a clip. The mileage statements (approx 40k,etc.) are a lie. You don't have a clue what condition the motor is.

The basics are engine, trans, ECU, harness, Intercoolers and brackets, intercooler piping and hoses, Intake hoses, exhaust (pre-cat back), radiator, AC piping, AC condensor, oil cooler and lines, NA power steering setup, TT radiator fan clutch.

I find that jdm engines usually have 45-90,000 miles if you convert kilometers, I suspect the lower mileage engines end up being front clips. From my personal experience go pick up the engine in person and check it out, otherwise if you get a junk one nobody is gonna help you. very rare to get a company to honor a warranty on a jdm junkyard engine. My sr ran great but had a locked up turbo when purchased, i received an ebay engine from jdm engine depot and they TOTALLY screwed me, completely rusted inside and out, looked like they dragged it through the ocean inside and didnt warranty

at this point Im leaning towards a tt swap mainly bc money wise I can do more with the tt. I know I'm taking a gamble with buying a non clip swap, but I can only hope for the best.
