how viable is the option to stick an RB25 or 26 on to an s13 and keep the turbo off and focus on making it an NA monster? ( things like higher compression and super aggressive cams etc)

do people do this at all? i'm just wondering what else i can do in terms of NA other than the ka

thanks!

( i hate turbo so.....)

It is done from time to time. If you want to go NA using the RB26 head with the better flowing ports, solid valvatrain and independent throttles would give the best power. If I was going to do NA I would use the RB30E block to get the maximum displacement from the get go, throw in forged rods and pistons and run the compression up, huge cams would be needed and a really good header but you could easily get 100hp per liter with an NA RB. Do it man dare to be different.
