Well as the title suggests. I WILL be updating and upgrading my fuel system to handle... You guessed it ethanol, now i know these are pointless upgrades on a vehicle that doesnt have turbskies on it. Buuut this is a preemptive upgrade should i decide to either boost or go for very high compression, also to make the car just that much easier to put fuel in when ever im at of Ethanol content is higher then 10%.

Reason im considering this.
1 accessibility of any premium grade fuel no matter the ethanol content
2 new injectors can handle the Ethanol.
3. I am replacing the injectors and adding a tune so why not throw that into the mix

So what i would like to know is when upgrading to a e85 capable pump and flex fuel sensor. What flow size do i need to have for a NA that will have full single intake, block back exhaust at 2.5in lightweight pulley, and z1 performance clutch setup, and fully cleaned top end(lol doesnt hurt to mention).

Can't give you any real info you ask for other than that the injector size will be very large in comparison to gas and you'll need a custom tune.
But I will say that I was set to "go green" with E85 when I went into my build until my guy Doug mentioned that I'd get about 4-5 mpg of corn syrup at $3+ per gallon, combined with the fact there are very few E85 stations in Washington State...yes, a couple your way but only 2 our side, and having to travel distances to just fill up every day and waste a lot traveling back and forth just for fuel, and not economical fuel, was not in MY cards anyway so we stayed Dinojuice.

Well i can say it wouldnt be full e85. I want the capability for it, hence the want for the flex fuel sensor. So if im back east i dont really have to hunny for a station. Lol

LOTS of trouble just for a possible use, and I'm not sure it's a viable thing for NA anyway as all E85 builds and vehicles I've seen have a turbo and boost pressure to help ignite the water and corn, plus of course a tune to deal with the far different timing and other needs of the corn syrup.
I think I'd look into NA drag racers and see if any use the syrup, and what they have to do to make it work with NA...methanol, other additives? Mods?

Oh i know that bud. I mean im putting new injectors, dampener, regulator, hoses for those, i want a new pump just cause the one i have is ancient af. Lol and while i have the intake off its going to be soaked and cleaned thoroughly upper and lower, while that's of gonna put a new efi harness and computer, which im looking at the cpz one with the nistune e85 with flex fuel set up. And im going for mainly the flex part so it makes it easier to run any grade of ethanol. Also when the clutch is done i will be adding headers and widebands also test pipes as well.

So, the Nistune flex setup would allow you to run either one (gas/corn) with just a change in programming? Sounds interesting...may have to look into that if that's the case as I'd be able to do it with my larger injectors and possibly a tune by Doug, and not be locked into one way only in the case of e85. Keep us posted on this!
