i am building a turbo CA19DET that will be replacing my stock CA18DE in ym car now, i was thinking of taking that motor and swapping it in to my lilttle bro's B12 sentra with a pair of 44mm delroto side drafts that i have sitting around (somewhere) for his birthday this year.

using the ecu to controll ignition timing, unplug the injectos and tune the hell out of the drafts but what about the AFM?? will i have to go stand alone to get around this??... has anyone done anything similar to this? or seen this done.. don;t want to go stand alone at all on this motor, only if i upgrade to something better than my haltech.

just bouncing ideas around for now.

comments?

you can get AFM programmers from Apex i and several other companies that will help you get around this problem. The N/A CA18DE is actually a good strong motor, and can be moded to make good power while maintaining it's N/A status.

You might check the sentra section, as the mods there know much more about this motor :)

why not use a crankfire ignition system and do away with the ecu?

use sports injection bodies with the stock computer and leave the carbs hanging on the wall.
