NA Auto issues P1605

So I picked up this 1996 300zx NA Auto and guy said the s*** solenoids needed replacement as it would hold high gears and not down shift.
Swapped out the solenoids and before I started seeing the A/T light.... now I have the job done with new fluid, new filter, new solenoids and
at first it felt great, went out this morning for a test and the A/T light was flashing. Pulled codes and low and behold:
P1605 "Transmission Control Module A/T Diagnosis Communication Line Fault"
Thinking it might be the TCM I started looking into this and saw the TCM part numbers are SUPER SPECIFIC.
The module installed is 31036-45P00

when researching this it pulls up a 92-94 NA A/T (NOT the 1996 that mine is)
So my question.... could this be the culprit and the previous owner installed the wrong TCM?
I'm seeing 31036-54P00 for 95-96
also have someone that has a 95 NA Auto that swapped to manual and will sell me his but his part number is: 31036-46P00
which shows someplaces 90-96 NA Auto others 94-96 NA Auto

Anyone with experience on this?

The 54P00 is for all production after 7/95, which I think encompasses the whole '96 MY. So if you have a 45P00 in it, I'm pretty sure it's the wrong part. Check your production date.
