Ok first off I looked it up in the search box as N62 Maf got couple results and did not search any more. Probably I'm posting it in a wrong section anyway, should be in general think. But then again it would be a upgrade part.

I was at the junkyard today to pick-up some parts that I needed and came across a J30 with the N62 MAF.

I have seen that these are kind-off pricey $50+ sometimes even $100.

is there any differences between N62 MAF as where it comes from 300zx or J30 for that matter?? It has an orange/silver sticker.

How do I check it to see if its good, I have a DVOM/Multimeter on hand. But what are the values for a good working MAF, and at which terminals?

Just want to check it to see if its good, dont know if I will need it or use it but its never bad to have something laying around that one day you might need. I will be buying turbo parts for the DE I have in the garage sometime soon, and I thought I might need this part too.

How much is too much for these MAF's, I was amazed when I paid for it $25.

I don't think there is a difference. I'm not sure though. I thought the N62, is an N62... Not sure about testing it.. Sorry... I would try to get it if you can get a good price on it.

I all ready bough it have it at home.

Spent a total of $50. I bough the plastic trim that goes around shifter and radio with leather boot (which is like new), rubber boot/with metal ring that sits on floor around shifter, radio bracket with tray (for smaller radios not double din)just because I missed placed my old brackets, rubber clutch line(not sure as if this will work with what I got)because I have the style that loops around by the frame rail, and this one only had a line coming from top into valve/bleeder and straight to slave.(This would be temporary only, I want to get the steel/braided). Bunch of nuts and bolts. And the N62 MAF. the MAF costed me 29.99 with 2.99 core and that other crap 16.62. I say today was the day of days, looks like a good deal or should I say a steel.

MAF has a cover of dust over the top, clean inside and screen on both sides is flawless, no dents or rips.

Looked around the forum in archives and found this thread zerothread?id=239874

Part number on my MAF is "22680-30p00" "a36-000 n62" looks like same as z32 MAF.

Now just need to check it, I know the FSM shows how to check KA24E Sohc MAF for resistance/ohms.

Oh yeah I have the wire and plug (4 wires)(white, black, orange, black/white)(terminals B,C,D,E)

man did i get raped, i paid 200 at autogator salvage yard your a bargain shopper

I heard you can test these with a volt meter and blowing through it as if you were blowing on a fire, then watch the continuity jump I may wrong..Mine worked perfectly without testing it.

These mafs usually last quite a while, I wouldn't worry too much about it not working, especially if you picked it up from a running car

and for wiring, go to jim wolf/tech support

I want to boost the DE I have. Just figured that I might need this MAF, when I saw it. I just couldnt let it waste there I had to bring it home . And when they rang up the bill I was like what you say . Your sure its only $49 for all that. I'm pretty sure its in good order car had like brand new air filter. So someone took care of the car. plus it was a J30 4 door sedan not 300zx sports car (that might of been moded and tweeked around with)

Otherwise it was only less $30 , I might get another one just incase, when I find one. And J30 are a lot easier to come by than a 300zx. I got a VLSD from J30 a while back.

I will try to get pictures of MAF, dont have dig-camera around just my cell phone, and if I will be able to post them.

things I bough for 50bucks [img][/img]MAF(dirty)[img][/img]MAF(clean)[img][/img]This is the best pic I can get of label(i'm using Helio Ocean to take pics, no dig-camera at home at this time)[img][/img]Dont want to post anymore pics, just for referance only. If they dont work let me know. Modified by placham at 4:15 PM 10/24/2007
