is anyone else running nitrous? if so, what kit and how big a shot. (on sr20det) i got a zex kit friday night. feels good, but causes misfire before 3000 rpm. i'm sorta afreaid to use it with mots of bost yet. i tried 10psi and the 50shot. that felt good. spool up time is instant. i'm running 20psi with the n2o off, and only using the n2o to get up to boost. i did do one 2nd gear slam. it felt great. started having traction problems bad!

is your ecu tuned to run the n20? if not that might lead to misfiring

If you notice the ZEX kit is "not to be used for forced induction" and "not to be used with rising rate regulators" in other words it will max out your injectors too quick and blow things up if you run it in conjunction with boost. Get a NOS or NX kit (a wet kit) and you'll be MUCH safer. The dry kit is just dangerous especially on an ECU that's not tunned for NOS, the misfireing might be due to leaning out at lower RPM's, OR too much fuel (depending on how your plugs look). Either way the ZEX kit isn't a good idea if you want to run boost.

I'd suggest getting a new set of nitrous solonoids from NOS, a fogger, and some fuel line and converting to a wet system, that should slove most of your problems.

actually the zex kit is fine to use on turbo cars. it says so in the manual and i called their tech line. i talked to the guy that owns the d16 powered civic with 420whp. also, you have to have a rising rate regulator for it to work. it sends some of the bottle pressure to your regulator in addition to your boost to raise pressure. i know zex is trendy but it does work and work well. my egt are staying right about the same. shaun
