N00b here: a couple questions...

im in the process of selling my 98 ranger an have been looking at a 300zx as a new car for me. but id like to know the difference between the 2 trannys, is one more solid then the other? and also what are some common problems i would run in with a Z? my plans include a Greddy evo2 exhuast,megan racing test pipes and maybe a 55-75shot of zex. any input on mods would be great. thanks in advance.

dont put nitrous in your car, its bad for the longevity of your engine and if not properly hooked up can blow your engine. plus it goes quickly and refills are rare and expensive.

i resent that statement that megan is wack!! i have 2 megan spec2 carbon mufflers on my z32 and it sounds and performs great! as far as their headers go im not sure but my exhaust sets off car alarms! and its a deep smoothe tone, not choppy like those ricer ones, you know the ones that sound like there are nickels stuck inside! i hate those but yea i have digressed from my point, megan doesnt suck!

Keep telling yourself that...it's okay, but it won't turn them into HKS or Fujitsubo. The fact is that they have poor build quality. I mean it's "okay", but don't kid yourself either.

ok... im not sure what you mean by build quality, but my mufflers are all proportional, the welding is all cleanly done and they perform well, but maybe you know more about them than me, who knows maybe i got the only 2 megan mufflers that where built right , but i personally think that hks is over rated and overpriced. their quality is fantastic but you pay too much for their name. when i take some pics of my car i'll post them so you can see, if i could id post a sound clip they sound really nice.
