I have a 1990 300zx N/A LHD. when I bought the car 2 months ago it had just had a completly rebuilt engine, skyline clutch (not to sure on how exactly this works, its just what the guy I bought it from told me), megan headers and dual exhaust, tokico springs and Eibach struts and drilled and slotted rotors all around. my problem is... it is slow. I bought it expecting it to be a huge increase over my previousely borrowed integra, but its not. At first I thought it was just because I was breaking in the new engine, but 4,000 kilometers into it, its not a lot better. It used to start terrible and so I put some injector cleaner into it at a little more then half a tank. It starts a bit better when it is colder out if that helps any one answer the question. now it starts better every once and a while. my dad suggested the ignition timing is off, but how do I know for sure before I go and spend a bunch of money going and getting it fixed?
next questino is what would it take to put in twin turbo's. My engine is almost completely brand new, and every other part of the car is still in amazing condition, so I really really dont want to sell it and just buy a twin turbo thats gonna blow up on me or need a bunch of wrok. I have been looking around at some 300's in the area and trying to find some with engine trouble like a blown head gasket so I could just take the turbo's off and put them on mine. is this possible?? would I need the block from the twin turbo, or would it almost be just bolt ons to my engine (and exhaust). will the stock internals of my non turbo be able to handle the addition of turbo's? what about the transmission, I have heard that many 300's have transmission problems due to so much torque. would I need a new one? There are probably many other questions that I will have in the near future that I just dont even know I need to ask right now, so as much insight into this as possible please.
Sorry for the long question, thank you for taking the time to read it, please only give answers that u know are true. I would find conflicting answers very unhelpful. plese help me, my buddy is buying a skyline GTR in the future, and I need turbo's to even have a chance!! haha, thank you for the help

Not Possible,

The Compression ratio is diff on the NA and TT

Try searching for TT SWAP or NA TO TT, there is alot out there

Get a timing light and check ur ignition timing, it could be off i think the NAs call for 15 deg as well

Ur TPS could be off too

Ur 300zx Should be just as fast as an integra, i raced a gsr in my N/A Convertible and stuck right with him and my car was bone stock

you can also search tt.net, there is a lot of good information over there.

a tt swap can be pretty stressful, especially if you're looking for higher power levels.

Go to z1motorsports website and look at there guide to what to do and not to do, they have a pretty detailed list of what is different and what isn't. i did a complete NA to TT motor and transmission swap a couple months ago, and it was worth it 100%. if you need some help or got any questions or need that form let me know i still got everything.
