Hey guys,

So I've decided to lay off the DE-T project for a bit and have some fun with a SOHC N/A motor for now. Buying a house isn't conducive to spending gobs of money on parts.

So.... I'm about ready to get some head work done, but before I do, I want to bring an aftermarket cam to the shop and have them install it. Never messed around with setting engine internals before and I don't want to start now.

What's the best cam for the SOHC 240sx engine ? I've got headers, a custom full-welded 3" exhaust w/ hi-flo cat and 3" race can, injen short ram w/ custom cold-air piping and cold-air box... but now I wanna go with a cam, and some porting. Anyone ever ran an aftermarket race cam in their ka24e? If so, which did you use, and what were the results? I'm lookin' to spend around 400 bucks on the cam alone.

Let me know guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

$400 is quite a bit to spend. I saw an E cam on Ebay a couple months ago for half that. Installing cams is very simple. I tore down my whole CA head by just reading the FSM for torque specs and disassembly and reassembly information. I had never done it before, and my engine runs perfectly.

i would go for one of the pdm cams at http://www.PDM-Racing.com . $250 only after core charge is refunded. They have 3/4 choices, from very mild to all out race profiles.
