going to drag my car next week. my mods are pop charger, stillen headers, megan catback, specialtyZ xpipe and 102,000 miles. im thinking my best time would be high 15's. what have your N/A's ran?

A Stock Twin Turbo Will Do 13.8 with a good driver

Ive seen 2+2s do high 14's

You might make it into the 14's if you advance ur timing a little bit

the n/a new should run a mid to low 15, with basic mods and decent tires 14's are definitely possible

I would like to track mine. My car doesn't even idle right so I dont know about the timing advancement and i have the Z1 ECU where they say not to TOUCH the timing or else demons will come out of the air vents and make you crash or something like that. Is it ok to advance timing wit hthe Z1 ECU? why do they say not to

Advancing timing can lead to detonation, which can cause severe engine damage in the long run. If you advance it too much for too long detonation wreak havoc on your engine:

That is an extreme result of detonation, but it goes to show that pushing the limits and advancing timing is risky business.

Not saying it's not good, but if you go too far, it can have some seriously negative effects. Read all about it here :) http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Articles/ ... /index.php

post up your times when you run. do you have a 5 speed? if so id guess less impressive times due to the diffuculty of timing everything right.

severe damage form detonation on a turbo ro hihgly modified engine can be big problems, on the stock n/a it's not likely to cause any severe damage

I have read in hot rod magazines you can advance the timing more if you have meth/water injection. is that true?

shifting correctly plays a huge part in your time as well

I have a 93 na with 165,000 with top speed headers, apexi intake, and muffler delete, and with weight reduction and I got 14.43 @ 97mph. I plan on putting a one piece alum lightweight drive shaft, lightweight rps segmented alum flywheel, test pipes, top speed cat back with non resonated x pipe with electric cutouts at the elbows of the mufflers for reduced restriction, and a czp eprom and I should be running <13.8 for an na. :dblthumb:
