Nicest E I've ever seen.

I don't think the SOHC's get the respect they deserve. You pulled it off great, keep it looking nice.

Mikuni is a company. They make a lot of different things, one of them being carburetors. They make a lot of automotive and aerospace components.

thanks for all the compliments guys!!

deviouska.....that pic you posted is from me....that is on zilvia.net under my logon name raven jude(after my son)...dont worry its ok......anyways as you can see from those carbs they are 44mm and are NISMO japan direct units for RACING ONLY......anyway that is the set that i will be using for now but i am getting more tempted to use the 50mm that i have but i have to modify my insulators to clear the larger butterflies.... as far as the engine mounts indetification your absolutely correct....this motor will be in the toy mated w/a 240sx transmission and a welded 4.38 rear end.....i feel that they'll be haters out there but all i know is it will be powered by a NISSAN......i know that this truck will fly and our eyes are looking at High 13's.....well i'll keep you all posted....well find out as soon as we install our ss fuel lines and pass tech

Thats awesome, i have wanted to pick up a toyota pickup or 80s runner and swap in a KA for a long time. Its cool to see someone do it.

I am not a fan of the 22r or the 22re but i might get blasted for saying that. I have heard that the 22rte or 22ret (I cant remember) is a good motor though, can take lots of boost.

How close are the exhaust ports of the 22r to the KAe, i always thought the motors looked a ton a like.

The toyota 20 and 22r engines are very tuff indeed.I had one in an old celica with 360,xxx miles on it and it finally started knockin one day. After about a week of slowly loosing power I finally decided to put it on the mat and blow it up.Well after a miniute or so the thing finally just broke the rod and freed itself up,it just acted like you pulled off a plug wire and I drove the thing another 7000 miles like that with the miss, that was one tuff engine.
