Just wanted to say hi as a new member and let everyone know about my car. Right now I have an auto 1995 240sx, mods are:

AEM intakeHotshot headerNology wiresHKS Hipower exhaustElectric fan w/ mechanical removedSony X-Plod head unit2 Rockfordfosgate 6" woofers2 Rockfordfosgate 1" tweeters2 Rockfordfosgate 6x9 components2 Rockfordfosgate 12" punch series woofers (very tight fit)Fosgate amp is blown so right now i have a 500w Depth Charge

I am waiting for my cams from JWT and my sway bars and strut bar are coming in from enjuku.

Also I am getting an Apex-i S-AFC and will put up the dyno when I get it

sounds good... The s-afc might not be needed yet though, but being able to recurve should yeild some improvement no matter what.

How is that bass setup going? Becuase my friend rolls with 2 12" fosgates in a bandbox and the bass is so ugly....and I dont know whether or not it's due to an improper fit, or the badbox, or a bad amp or something, would you recommend fosgates?

Well I love my Fosgates. My bass hits nice and loud with no distortion until I go pass the ability of the amp. The only thing I have a problem with is the rear deck and the trunk rattling too much. My box is just a simple double speaker made out of 3/4 inch MDF with no airports. I do say that they sound better when you point the speakers into the passenger rather then out the back, the bass doesn't need to be turned up quite as much this way. But, Fosgates, for the price, are real good.

Just building a box to fit the subs is prolly your reason for bad bass. The subs are "lost" without the proper low pressure behind the sub to retract the cone back after full excusion.
