2.5" is whats recommended for n/a, if you need cats you can get cats in your test pipes for a pretty penny try z1motorsports.com or conceptzperformance.com, or specialtyz.com for the best exhaust

you can always call any one of them and I'm sure they will set you up with a emissions compliant exhaust setup for your n/a

Pretty sure all 2+0 stuff should be the interchangeable for the catbacks, but then there's the very last bullet item here, so now I'm not sure: http://z32.wikispaces.com/NA-TT+Differences .

Catbacks are the same NA>TT, just a difference in pipe diameter. 2.25" is really all you need for NA unless you have a fully built NA with like JWT 500 cams, dual intake, etc. then you can go 2.5", otherwise its just a waste.

They are not the same, they are bent differently as well as the hinges are located in different spots. I have a catback for the TT being shipped to me right now and will be checking for myself the differences and having a shop do their magic. In the end it's still cheaper to go that route, and there are more options.

The catbacks on all 2+0/coupe (both NA and TT) models are the same shape. The bends are only different on 2+2 models. Anything that says it will fit a 2+0/coupe turbo model will also fit a 2+0 NA. If you have a 2+2 then yes you will need to have a shop adjust it.

Completely agree. I forgot to mention 2+2 NA in my response. Thanks for clarifying. OP did not state what vehicle it was for, and I am new and didn't realize it is underneath his name. :) Sometimes I have to learn things that hard way.

Bought a TT exhaust and had it put on. It was not compatible as mentioned above, so needed fabrication. The shop pretty much cut the mufflers off and welded new piping from the resonators back. Took quite a bit of time, but worth it in the end. Sounds pretty good. I will be posting a clip later today once I finish the brakes.
