i read somewhere on here that you must run like 1quart low on oil to the oil drain on the turbo can drain back in the pan...

to avoid running a quart low(if this is true) can you tap the block like the SRdets?

I always used a full 4+ quarts and never had problems, but I guess other members had problems with it since Ive read about it recently. If youre drain is positioned correctly on the oil pan there shouldn't be a problem.

what you mean my positioned correctly? i plan on placing it right up to the "lip" of the oil pan where my a/c compressor used to be...but thats if running 1 quart low isn't needed

I personally did my oil return according to Ivan's measurements and i must say that there is no better place than that unless u bolt up the turbo and mark exactly where u want it to go.

Hopefully that thread can prove useful to u.......
