I found a clean set of pathy a-piller trim pieces(hello new tweeters) and pulled mine off. On the passenger side, I found this little guy:


Long story short, it simply appears to be a ground wire that isn't connected to anything. It looks like it had a crimp-on style termination at one point that is now broken off. Does anyone know what this is supposed to be connected to? Literally everything in my truck is working fine, don't have the faintest idea what its for. I hate to pull the dash and track it down if its not important.

Looks like a pillar speaker wire but I could be wrong.

Well, its a likely suspect due to location but its only one single wire and its nothing like the grey speaker wire used in the rest of the truck. I'm stumped.

Maybe added by someone at some point no way to know. Looks like it may be a nissan connector maybe was there for windshield antenna, my truck has post antenna and one in the glass and the plug is right at base of window where it meets the a pillar post, may have been disconnected if windshield was replaced with one not having the internal antenna. Does you windshield have a defroster looking wire in it? Does it have NISSAN logo in corner, if not may have been replaced at some point with aftermarket window.
