Has anyone experienced this? I have a 3.5 coupe, CVT. At highway speeds (60+) there's an anoying body vibration throughout the vehicle. If no one is sitting in the passenger seat, I can see it vibrating. It's not over powering, but just enough to be annoying. With the dealer's service crew, we've outruled tires, engine and transmission. Next I go for a test ride with a tech. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks.

I don't think this would be it for you, but it seems in my AC atleast, if the music is turned up, the vibration goes STRAIGHT to the pedal. I have never experienced anything like it before. I thought for a while there was something wrong with my car but it was just the music being loud. Yea, I realize that I may be an idiot for not noticing that like right away.

I have had vibration at highway speed, but it comes and goes. Seems to me that concrete surfaces produce more vibration then pavement.

I do have a funny story about a drive with the "tech". I had a vibration that was at low RPM and the tech was driving and Im sitting in the passenger seat I feel it, and he looks at me and says "I dont feel anything out of the ordinary." So from my experience, driving with a tech is crap. The last thing in the world the stealerships want to do is diagnose/get rid of a vibration. Cant make much money on that.

My recommendation is to insist that you are the one driving the vehicle, and if you feel the vibration, have him like put his hand on your leg to feel it! Or on the wheel if it does as well. Only the driver knows exactly what to do to experience the vibrations, so it makes no sense to me why the tech would drive it.

why did you all outrule the tires?

i bet its a tire or a rim, either the tire has broken belt in it, a flat spot, or is out of balance ,could be ovaling (if you do a lot of burnouts), the rim could be bent

now they are gonna pull your tires off balance them all and it will still vibrate, well if you rotate your tires on the semi-regular, sometimes (i dont know why) one tire will wear down faster then the other makin it uneven, and for some reason a tire will become slighty oval and it creates a vibration, ----i had that happen on two of my camaros over the years,

as for the stereo causing the vibration idea.. weird. but maybe.. as for having the tech put his hand on your leg to feel the vibration... make sure he buys you a drink first.

I agree with scandinavian, it's mostly likely something wrong with a tire balance or possibly your car's alignment. You could have hit a pot hole at some point and thrown your toe off, etc...

Don't rule the wheel/tire setup completely, thats where a lot of funky driving feelings come from.

Yes sir, balance for sure. If you feel it shaking through the steering wheel its one of the front 2 tires, If not, its one of the back 2 tires.

Good luck man. I have the same thing, and I had the dealer rebalance all 4 tires. I still have the vibration, and am going to bring it to their attention AGAIN next oil change. (took 2 hours last time, no way in hell am I sitting there that long again.) That said, I don't do burnouts, but I do push her pretty hard in a few corners on occasion.

Garbage excuse by Nissan. Its not hard to balance a tire, but its really easy to screw up. If its not aligned perfectly on the balancer, tries to balance with any weights still attached, spun to fast, it wont balance correctly. I go through a routine of; deflate the tire, take off wheel weights, unmount the tire from the rim, remount it, refill the tyre with nitrogen to the max psi, then put it on the balancer. Helps for the most consistent balances

Yeah, I understand its not simple to balance perfectly. If it hadnt been free, I wouldve had it done at the only tire shop I trust.. and its a 30 minute drive from home lol. It's in the town I grew up in, but the guys there are top notch... the dealer.. not so much =/

Yessir!

If you have aftermarket wheels you probably just need hubcentric rings! $20 fix!
