I had to draw it on MSPAINT because I can't upload photos with my phone.

Anyway, does anybody know what this switch is for? It is black in color, gray at the connector. I remember seeing this switch when I dismantled my car, just don't remember where I pulled it on the harness. If anybody can identify this switch/plug, it might help me solve other electrical problems I have. Thanks!

1992 Nissan 240SX. Motor is a 1998 SR20DET Blacktop w/J4 ECU.

The plug was removed from the cabin side of the body harness for sure. I just want to see if this plug might have anything to do with my electrical gremlins. You can see what I'm talking about in this thread.

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that, that might be turn signal flasher

http://www.240edge.com/manuals/91-94_240sx/el.pdf use this link for your cluster and tail lights problem.

See what your missing or is not powering on, and try to trace it back on paper first. Than go back to the car and, start testing.

Does the thing above look like this

Because it definitely is not a relay, more of a circuit breaker.

i figured out all three problems all night. here's what they were:

-tail lamp: broken splice located at lamp furthest to the left. reconnected the wiring to a new splice point. let there be light!

-flashers: this part i brought up was the reason the flashers were not working. put it in and voila!

-cluster (digital/analog): wiring at the fuse box was frayed slightly (behind the fusebox, you have the flasher unit and two blue relays. the wires on the relays were exposed enough not to get power to the cluster. love tapping it allowed me to get it running. repaired that piece.

so all in all, thanks for all the help, guys! i owe you all a big one.
