So before i go on, I've done the research and i can't find out to much about people who switch the MAF thats 3 wire plug to 4 wire plug...

^ that will make sense after reading this...

So, my 240 has been wigging out on gas. Pretty much just drinking gas like its dehydrated all day long. I changed my injectors. (thats just another problem). Changed the fuel pump to the Walboro one.
Fuel filter as well. It's been blowing black smoke for months, but I'd figured it was the injectors. Haven't had to much time to pull the fuel rail out and see if they are pumping fuel.
So, my cousin came over and checked out the car, told me he think it would help if i changed my MAF out. So we went i got another used MAF, in working condition. I started taking out the tape from the wiring plug, and i start to see that the one of the 4 wires is cut. i remove the tape and it looks like my MAF wires were cut and this new wiring plug was put on. I will update with a picture soon.

I can't seem to find a diagram or any body else who went from a 3 plug in wire MAF to a 4 plug in wire MAF

I went back and got the 4 plug in MAF, changed it and the car started but then died out after not being able to hold the idle. I'm confused and lost on the issue. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll upload the pics of my MAF as soon as i get a chance. Thanks.

Grant.

your going to need to add some info to this problem. what motor are you running? what mods have been done? have you checked the ecu for codes? did you check the injectors to make sure they are not leaking? post up a picture of the plug and the mafs, as well as any identifying marks on the mafs.
