mystery light

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

There is a tiny light on the overhead panel that contains the switch for the moonroof. I noticed that it was on when we were driving this past Saturday night. I couldn't find any reference to this light in the user manual. We had the moonroof closed. Would anyone know what this light indicates?

Thanks you.

It's not an indicator light. It provides a very soft lighting of the area below during night driving. You have to drive in a dark area to see the illumination it creates, which is nice.

Yup, same thing in the Nissan Rogue... provides a very pale orange light around the shifter and cupholders, pretty cool once you notice it.

I wondered about that light too.

Thanks for bringing this up on here...

thank you for bringing it up. My wife and I asked ourselves many times about that light.
