Guys, I'm the slightly frustrated owner of a 2005 G35 2WD sedan. It blew the head gasket 1000 miles after I bought it. I'm stuck on putting my engine back together following the head gasket change. I took a lot of pictures but my SD card decided to die sometime between taking the pics and putting the engine back together. Can anyone help me identify where this bracket goes?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide

To be honest, that sort of looks like the "Engine Slinger" that bolts to the head. Its used in the factory to lift and drop the engine.
Of course, I could totally be wrong haha.
Try checking the factory service manual to see if that's what it looks like.

Thank you very much. I think it looks very much like the driver's rear lower slinger. I will pull the intake and check it out.

If its just the slinger and nothing else goes to it, you can leave it off.

The next guy that wants to pull the engine might curse you though ha.
