All I'm trying to figure out is the make and model of this mystery car.

A friend had it in high school, and I did some body work on it. I drove it around a few times, and I can not remember what it was.

I'm fairly certain it had a Datsun or Nissan nameplate on it.

It was a boxy 80s model car with very angular lines -- a 2-door coupe with a trunk, not a hatchback.

It was a rear wheel drive car with an inline 4 with dual ignition. The one I drove was a 3-speed auto with a floor shifter. It was silver ext/gray interior. Had a very crowded dash, with lots of gauges.

I've been looking through all kinds of Z, ZX, SX cars.. can't seem to figure out what it was.

Help?

buy dual ignition you mean 8 spark plugs?

it's a notchback 200SX either an S12 or S110

the S110 with a Z20

S12 Coupe (the version pictured is either a CA18 or FJ version, the car you messed with is a SOHC CA203E with a Nap-z head)

Just a wild guess: Maybe a 610 or 810 coupe?

810 coupes weren't boxy or angular; they were pretty smooth with clean curves, similar to a lot of late-60s American styling. They also didn't have 4 cylinders in the US. They did have a trunk rather than a hatch, though.

That's a good looking car.

I can't honestly remember if it got a NAP-Z head or not...I know the Z24 did.

My money says S12 notchback. He should consider himself lucky for having that car. CA20's are two spark per cylinder, btw.
