Mystery Button

Good morning all! I have a question that I'm hoping somebody can help me with. We just purchased a 2014 Murano LE Platinum and I noticed right next to the lift gate release button, there is a smaller round button that doesn't appear to do anything when pressed. I looked through the owners manual and unless I am missing something, I don't see anything mentioned about this button. Does anybody know what this button does? Thanks in advance.

The lift gate button under the dash? The lift gate button on the outside of the hatch when it is closed? The lift gate button on the inside of the hatch used to close it? Which?

If it is the lift gate button on outside of the hatch, might what you think is a button be the rearview camera lens?

On the outside, on the hatch. I figured it out. It unlocks the rest of the doors.

He had specific tools which helped him to remove the grill, and even with those tools, it was a “challenging” job to remove the grill. I guestimate that it took the guy about 20-30 minutes to remove the grill. BTW – I have kicked myself in the butt for not remembering to take a video of him removing the grill (with old age, memory is the second thing to go).
