Hello,

I am new to the forum. My G35 has started something inexplicable. No one can detect the problem. I changed the tire and the problem ceased but has since returned. Here is my girlfriend to describe what is happening with the car she drives:

After the car warms up, normal speed it begins to shake starting under the automatic gear lever. Two mechanics drove it and their reply was " I have never felt that before, they had no idea. It shakes so bad you can not see in the rear view mirror! I also, replaced the brakes and tires. It started after I got a large staple in the back left tire, driver side, I replaced it with another new tire going broke trouble shooting please help! Thanks Kelly

Was the new tire balanced properly? Go in and rotate & balance and see where that puts you.

Does the steering wheel shake?

If it's smooth and after warming up has a "shake starting under the automatic gear lever" then the problem may be a motor or transmission mount and not tire/rim.

If the vehicle hit a pothole and damage to a rim occurred that could account for the shaking and vibration.
Go to a reputable tire shop and have the tires removed from the rims. Have both rims and tires carefully inspected. Remount, rebalance and have a computerized alignment and see if the problem disappears.
If you find either a damaged tire or rim replace them.
Good luck

Are tires and wheels at or better than oem spec of less than 5 grams of imbalance.
Is radial force variance less than 10 pounds on each tire?

Failure to post year, mileage and city state [road condition + temperature] leaves it impossible to even begin!

Could be tires, motor mounts, transmission mounts, tire pressure, tire balance, alignment, or a combination of several of these things.

New tires are not always perfect. My brother got 4 bad tires that wore very very bumpy after a couple hundred miles. There was a recall on those tires.

The date codes on the tires should be checked also,

My tire below was manufactured in the 33rd week in 2007

Funny as it may sound...make sure that, if the tire is directional, its rotation is correct. no one is perfect and the tire tech could have mounted it reverse and there is a VERY slight possibility that it could cause a hop. Other thought is if one tire is new, how worn is the "old tire"? If the differance between the two is enough, the differential could be slipping excessively while trying to "grab" and cause a vibration....especially if nothing happens until the car is warmed up. Does it vibrate constantly or shudder...smooth...shudder...smooth..etc.? more (worse) while turning in a certain direction? If you put the car in gear (forward or reverse) and hold the brake hard then give it a quick romp on the gas, does it make a thump noise? With the hood up, do the same action and watch the motor for excessive movement (would indicate a bad/broken motor mount) I believe this shadetree mechanic test is best in reverse.

cheapazz! haven't seen/heard from you in a while.
I'm in Vegas now. You'll have to drop by and say hi when you drive on through.

Sorry to go off-topic - Have you checked into or done anything else to determine the cause???
