Mysterious noise from the hatch!

So, i started hearing a noise from my hatch, its continuous after i start my car. i was pretty sure it was my rear wiper fluid motor, it sounded like it would be the rear wiper motor just continuously working non-stop, however ive looked all in the trunk and see no motor, and have come to my new conclusion that im pretty positive its the fuel pump.. the noise comes rite from it but why the hell would it make a noise like that? according to the old owner its an upgraded pump, my car stills runs and drives fine.. is it possible my pumps going bad..? guesses anyone? lol

Yeah, pretty sure its the fuel pump. Mine does that too. More when I am running low on fuel, and more on a hot day. Not sure what to do about it though. Mine has been like that since I got it almost 3 years ago and it hasn't lead to any problems... So I'm not worried about it yet.

Hmm, now that i think about it i usually always stay at or a little under 3/4th tank of gas and ive been running on a qtr & a half of gas... Ill get gas tmrw night and post if that fixed it or not.. I hope it does. Its getting so annoying -_-

Thats strange, maybe its a coupe vs hatch thing but I never hear mine except when my car is off just before i start it and its been swaped since 05.

to be sure, i would just pull the pump out of the tank and just see what pump you actually have, so you dont have to rely on the previous owners word..

ive had walbros in almost every car ive owned and they do make a light humming sound when priming ..

yeah @ badbob your rite im gunna do that tmrw, also i filled up my tank... i still have the noise, however i began hearing this noise after i took my backseat out... could be that.
