Mysterious engine shutdown has occured

Well I have heard of it but not until today has it ever happened. Some say it only happens after installing a cai on a 6 speed. Well exiting the freeway at about 75 mph I engaged the clutch and held it for like three seconds and as I proceeded to downshift into fourth I realized that the engine died. I am guessing that when traveling at that rate of speed and the engine at idle the motor, well, gets to much air. Not sure. Any feedback would be great. Check to make sure that all the pipes are secure and tight. Check any electricals near the CAI to make sure it didn't damage anything. Check for any loose electrical connections. If it's under warranty, you may want to have the dealer check it. If not, then whoever you get service from should check it.
