I've posted a couple times here before but I've never said anything about what I've done or anything really about the car. So let me start by telling you exactly what it is. It's a 1989 Z32 TT 2 seater, 5 speed.. and it's yellow.

It's not much but I've recently done the 120k service with about 140k km on the engine, new PCV valves and hoses, new O2 sensors, new coil pack connectors, new coolant temp sensor and connector, new coolant gauge temp sensor, new coolant tubes, new silicone hoses for radiator, throttle body, and intercooler boost, new balance tube seals, new spark plugs. Installed boost jets, upgraded ECU chip. Changed transmission and differential fluid. And I took the ugly a** wing off and plan on putting the stock duck tail wing on in the future.

I just bought a B&B cat back 2.5" with 4.5" oval quad tips. Does anybody have this? I've listened to a couple videos but none really specify resonated or not and I bought mine resonated. Wondering how loud it is because I'm not one of those stanced fanboys who like the loud brap where you can't even think because it's so loud. I plan on doing downpipes and test pipes later after I pass my inspection since they look for cats when they do it.

Here's a couple pictures of before and after:

Let me know what you guys think.

Welcome!
That's a pretty clean early '90 you have there sir, she looks like a great platform to work with- congrats on cleaning her up and obvious plans for more.
If you as you say aren't into the noise, then you'll probably want to change out at least those large tips and possibly also the mufflers themselves. The lack of restriction at the back of the system will make for more of the noise you don't like such as blap and drone...3" is as large as I'd go (I have 3" quads on HKS mufflers and they are close to too loud for me) and more restrictive mufflers may also be needed to tone things down. That's why I'd never buy a pre-made system no matter from who, no way to adjust the sound levels. Same with the test pipes, removing them just adds more noise (less restriction) and very little else but you do need the DP's to help turbo spool.
Have fun and keep us posted!
