First of all its a 93 with 140k miles. I was driving on the highway when it first died, I was just driving normal and finally some old heads got out of my way so I punched it and when it reached about 4k rpm and it just cut off. it didn't start the rest of that day. the next day it starts right up. So I let it idle for about 2 hours and it seemed fine so I shut it off for about 30 min. Then I start it back up again and its running good except for the low rpm tic. So I take it thru the whole rpm range slow and fast and the first couple times It seemed ok, it just sputtered at higher rpms ( about 4500 and up) and then out of nowhere it just dies again. Over the next couple days it was the same thing it would start up I'd rev it and it would die if I let it sat over night it would start up again.

Yes it just shuts off like I turned the key off. And it really only does it around (I'd say 5000 rpm)because when I rev the motor between 4000 and 6500 is when it happens. But it doesn't happen every time im in the rmp range. But It does sputter all the time through that rpm range.
