Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum &I have a 93 Z convertible that I'm having idle issues with! I just had all new jecs 270cc injectors, injector connectors, NGK plugs, EGR, pcv valves & hoses, IACV hoses, fuel damper, FPR & rubber fuel lines, fuel filter, water pump, upper & lower rad hoses, both coolant sesors replaced last week. The car runs beautiful on the road but when @ idle it bounces ( surges) and almost wants to die. No ECU codes. I have a new TPS coming on Friday. Is there a way I can test my MAF to see if it is functioning properly. When the car is idling, if I disconnect the MAF it idles better. I took it out over the weekend and cleaned it with CCR MAS cleaner but no change. The IACV & air reg was the next thing I was going to tackle. Are there some tests that I can do for them as well. I did remove the hose between the REG & the IACV and sprayed some WD-40 and that did not help.
I would appreciate any help you guys could give me!
Thanks

FSM has a section for troubleshooting surging idle: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/300zx/

Your TPS may help.

May also want to perform an idle adjustment: http://z32.wikispaces.com/Idle+Control

Then you might want to check for air leaks in the system: http://www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html http://www.thumper300zx.com/z32/boostle ... _guide.htm . It's not just for "boost leaks" any leak in your vacuum system can be an issue, since you have an NA vert.
