I'll get some more pics soon, it's now gutted, getting bodywork, being prepped for paint.

Great looking project. How are the floor boards? What's with the secondary temp controls? I've never seen that before. What color are you having it painted? Are sticking with the stock motor or swaping?

Floorboards, amazingly, were solid. One of the reasons I bought it.It's an AC car, so it has dealer-added temp controls.Color - Well, no laughing, but it's a Honda Odyssey color. Stock motor, I want to keep this one pretty original.

Damn you actually got a radio in yours. Mine had practically nothing on the dash except for gauges and vents. And mine had solid floorboards as well, mine was in better shape than yours but you'll probably get yours running in better shape than mine, soon.

looks to be a good solid chassis, I personally hate the add on air kits, if you ditch the smog the S130 compressor and bracket bolt right on and with some finagling you can use a 280Z factory air evaporator for a cleaner look

how stock are you gonna keep it? keeping smog su's and the 2.4 or just keeping n/a L6? I've seen 200whp form a 2.8 n/a with tripple webbers, cam, header and high compression pistons

Well, I have access to an L28 with triple Mikunis, so I think I might drop that in after it's reassembled... I wanna detail out the engine and the bay first.

Other than the engine / trans / paint / wheels, it'll be fairly stock.

Oh, and the Motorsport front / rear spoilers and chrome JDM fender mirrors I just got via UPS...

not a bad looking 72... your fortunate to live in AZ.. because of the dry air out there most of the old 240Z get minimal rust.. i love the early S30s.. IMO you should just get the stock 240Z bumpers and just add a front lip air dam and drop it a bit...

Sorry, no updated pics, but the car is stripped down and we're getting some of the small rust areas repaired... Finding a dogleg patch panel was a huge pain!

I've sourced a pair of replacement OEM bumpers. They're getting the bumper guards and rubber strips removed, holes filled, and re-chromed, and a Motorsports front air dam + rear spoiler is sitting in the garage waiting to be installed at paint time.

I've also sourced a complete set of lowering springs and Koni shocks, as well as a complete F/R disc brake conversion with larger front calipers and all poly suspension bushings, so she'll get all that after paint.

Just the first pic of the car in the leaves gives me teh woodrow. I would love to find one of these for myself, but I guarantee there aren't any around here that haven't disappeared into rust.

Can't wait to see what's next!
