not real sure about uni-body damage. but i have seen people that used only their brakes when stopping to prevent an accident (while driving a stick) and it has caused them to skip timing. not sure if thats the case with the Z or if its even possible but its a thought. glad your alright man.

Sorry to hear about your accident. At least you were there when you're car got hit, so it wasn't a hit and run. if the body damage limited to your bumper or did it grab the exhaust too? you're prolly looking at 600-800 for rear bumper and paint, and if your exhaust got pushed down that could tack on more cash...

thanks for the replies, the exhaust did got pushed in a bit, the good thing is it's not my fault. I just want to make sure I check everything once I get her back from the shop.

Sup Mike!

That sucks man!
How fast were you going? I got rear ended last year, you remember, that's why I bought that exhaust from you.

In my case the only damage(aside from the obvious bumper cover) was the exhaust got pushed in and bent, so I needed to replace it.

The actual bumper is this huge piece of metal(steel?). There was no other damage what so ever, and your car seems to be in better shape than mine.

Take care brotha!

thanks albert, you are right. They just replaced the rear bumper cover and exhaust. Luckily for me the shop replaced it with another Nismo. I can't comment on the accident yet since the investigation is still going. The dude is changing his story. I know. I can't remember if my Nismo logo on my old exhaust was grey, it is now white on the new one.

I did get my car back :dblthumb: I can't believe how you take things for granted, until it's gone. I do appreciate my Z33 more now. I was stuck driving a Jetta for a week.

Let me know when you plan to go to the twice a month meet at La Canada, I will roll if you roll.

...thanks Sarah

I love my Z. The only car I will replace it with will have to be another Z.
