HongKongChick wrote:interesting combo!!! :D u look like a girl who likes to rave? i have just the right person u can hang out with in HK if u go there one day. he is very cute, and a singer in HK, and my long time good friend. though his english needs fixing, but overall he is a great person to hang out, party with. ;)

A cute singer? Woot! Now I'm really interested. :D Sounds like a nice, little arrangement. As long as he doesn't sound like Long Duck Dong, it's fine by me. :D Besides, accents are sexy!

But yeah I'm a hardcore raver, I never leave home without a set of glowsticks. In the near future, I'd love to do an impersonation of the "Star Wars kid" with a pair of 6' long halogen bulbs. :D

So back to the loser Russian boyfriend. I agree with you just being forthright with him and your roommie. I've seen this sort of situation rapidly degrade into life-long grudges time and time again.

VOD, I absolutely LOVE the pic - I really miss the days of funky haircolor and rubber bracelets on girls (among other things). Thank God some gals are keeping the 80's alive and well!

p.s. If I didn't say so before, Welcome to NICO!

Spanks, er, thanks! Funny because I was actually going for a Cyndi Lauper look that night. Some fashion trends are better left in the 80's though, like French rolls, legwarmers, hoolahoop earrings and spandex pants. yuck.
themadscientist wrote:I see in the picture you didn't swipe that guy's wallet, you're a nice lady:)

I could've swiped it after the photo was taken. :D Seriously though, I might've pulled a klepto on him if he wasn't my roommate's bf. She's the other girl in the pic.

Anyway I better chill with this posting, sorry to hijack your thread HKC. :(

Consider yourself quoted HKC. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that phrase, mad! (more of an utterance, but oh well) You have to admit it brings you a smile! Aww, dang, I had a good day, so... well I'm not going to say it... but I really don't consider it quite a whine, more like "wee," a random utterance... hmmm... I used to say "wee" a lot... let's see how it flows, in honour of my good day-

Weee!

Sorry for jumping in there, continue with the thread...

The Dropkick Murphy's have been a longtime fav even since their humble beginnings. I wonder if you've listened to some other Boston bands like SSD, The Freeze and Slapshot? Oh and despite their selling out and watering down their music, The Mighty Bosstones will always have a place in my heart. :ylsuper

those are bowls for rice. unlike Americans, we eat our food in a bowl and using chopsticks to pick up food. we have dishes, rice in bowls, and chop sticks placed on the bowl like this

I've never had sushi, and have never really had a chance to. Then again, I think I'd be a bit reluctant to eat raw fish. Everyone I know who's ever had it claims it's great,

so...

is it?

Hmm... I'm sure I know someone who knows sushi well, and I have a friend who's Japanese (Green Card all the way!)... Hmmm... too bad the only sushi in town is CRAZY expensive... I'll find some one day.

actually that salmon has a tendency to gag my mouth:puking

damn that russian BF guy, he looks to smug in that pic, makes me wanna slap him and tell him to get his stank *** in the shower...

VOD- Bosstones freakin' rock! I still wonder how they came from a KISS cover band though...

I wish they'd come to Nashville, we never get the cool bands here anymore, though I did enjoy ZZ Top and Ted Nugent this summer:ylsuper

so sushi is any type of raw fish? i thought it was one particular kind. is there any kind of prepping whatsoever or do you just cut it up an make it look nice?

if you can't tell, i've never had sushi.
