Jason B of http://www.burtmaninsudtries.com posted a guide for removing and adhering wood kits, but it seems to have vanished.

Perhaps he will be so kind to post it again and it can become part of the FAQ?

Superglue is a quick fix on a toothpick.

Here are my install instructions below to install our dash kits. IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO PRINT THIS OUT.

There are instructions in the kit, but these are more detailed. I didn't have any trouble.

The comes in a flat, large box about 3 inches thick and maybe 3 feet long. Everything is well packed in styrofoam liner and set up so that it would NOT scratch!

The instructions are brief, but clear and to the point.

Each piece needs to be carefully "dry-fit" to the dash. That is, put thepiece in place BEFORE removing the 3M double stick adhesive on the back of each piece.

The pieces are initially quite stiff, but laying them out on yourdashboard in the sun for 10 minutes will really soften themup. It's a good idea to warm them before you apply them to the dash! A hairdryer will also help.

Then, you'll need to use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to wipe off eachpart of the dash to clean it. Even if it looks clean, I'll bet it's really dirty !! Then wipe for each portion of the dash, wipe on the included 3M automotiveadhesive prep. Do it fast, cause it evaporates quick.

The Key step:

Remember again that the key to a good installation is patience. Each pieceshould be carefully fit in place after warming on your dashboard in thesun.

After you're convinced you have the pieces fitting properly, you'll need toPEEL off the backing.

Another tip: For all but the smallest pieces I recommend pulling off only5-10% of the backing first. Then position that amount of the adhesivedown on the dash and slowly peel off the rest of the adhesive as youcarefully fit the piece in place. Then firmly press down each part of thewood cutout.

Remember, once that adhesive is stuck down. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove. It's like trying to lift an elephant. That stuff STICKS!!!

You're done!

One more tip: When you're all done, leave the car for a few hours to cure. The pieces must take some time to bond to the dash, and If the car iswarm, the pieces will hold their final curved shapes better.

If you place a piece down crooked, you have about one chance to pull it off and re-lay it down again. There is a lifetime warranty when you use a sunshade to protect it.

I also have REMOVAL instructions if you want to replace your current dash kit with one of mine.

Thanks Jason. I believe the removal/replacement instructions is what you posted previously, but I could not find them.

If you post again, I will promise to copy to my DIY notebook for the Q.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

How do you get the excess super glue off the dash? I was careless and got a tiny bit of it on the plastic/acrylic wood cover, and have tried to take it off with fingernail polish remover without much success.
