My wiring mess, h.u.d. speedo, dash lights, wipers, ( i searched )

well I have been reading threw hundreds of pages on similar problems,I have a few questions.

this is my deal

the speedo is completely dead, along with the hud.the dash lights flicker on and off, and when the go off if I give the dash a nice tap or 2 they will come back on for awhile, and sometimes when I press the brake pedal my wipers go off,

I plan to swap out the tcm or tcu thing,

but my question is could the tcm be causing all these problems?will I still have to get back in the cluster and replace that resistor thing or w/e ?

this is a HUGE PITA b/c not only do I not have dash lights sometimes I NEVER know how fast I am going, lol

any help is greatly appriciated
