Well the person who had the car before me must have installed an aftermarket alarm system that barely worked when i got it. So today I attempted to get rid of it only to find that what I did failed horribly and now the car wont start.

edit: car is a 1990 240sx

All pics taken under the steering column

Pics:this is the tan sheeth covered plug that was just dangling not connected to anything. I looked for a place to plug it in, however I couldn't find anything... It looks like there are a few wires spliced into it though..?

Some random BOSCH connector that was just dangling there as well (it says 12V on it i believe) a big black plug with 4 thick gauged wires purple, yellow, brown, black. the wires etc are in the next photo.

Plug with 4 thick wires these are spliced into a white plug that is on the right side of the steering column with a bunch of wires spliced into it..

Front of that black plug that plugs into random BOSCH thing?

More of that plug.. Idk what it is?...

On the right is the white plug mentioned earlier with a lot of splicing on it. It's unplugged in the picture however i just unplugged it to take a better pic. It has 5 pins.

Is there supposed to be a factory ground there it's screwed into the bracket where the white box is? There are 2 wires there but then 1 more is spliced up above and goes into a big mess of wires?...

how i ended today, completely lost..

any help at all would be great. thanks

I would suggest getting a wiring diagram and then try to sort out the mess. You have so many things disconnected it's hard to tell what is supposed to be where. It looks like the mess my dad has on his camaro. He tried to get rid of the factory alarm because it wasn't letting the car start. He finally figured it out. I would just reconnect what you disconnected so the car was functional until you get wiring diagrams and have the time to read them and figure them out. Unless you get lucky and someone here has a photographic memory and can remember how there's looks. Sorry I can't help out anymore then telling you to look at wiring diagrams. I had to rewire my security key thing in my bonneville. It gets real uncomfortable fast laying on the floorboard of a car.

In this picture, you can see the yellow wire and what looks like a dark brown wire going to the ignition harness. If you follow the two wires to the ignition harness, they probably go to a black wire with a yellow stripe. If they do, cut the wires and connect them together at the ignition harness of the car so that you are basically connecting the black wire with the yellow stripe back together. After doing this, your car should start.

Looks like a basic starter kill setup to me, here is how to get it started up again. Since you have removed the starter kill which was the bosch relay and plug you removed. Now directly under the column you see that white plug with 5 thick wires going to it? they should be black with yellow stripe, black with white stripe, blue, white with red stripe and plain black.

IN that mess there should be the other end of the wires that leads up to the key switch, either find that plug and plug it directly back in or hard wires those back together and the car should fire right up with no problems. Let me know if you have anymore questions or need anymore help.

when in doubt just rewire to the way it came from the factory. usually this makes everything happy again.
