In Alabama, "Attempting to allude" is a serious offense, and is punishable by up to a year in prison, and revokation of one's driver's license.
It is a mandatory court appearance.
It is also a bull$hit ticket, that officer's give when they are pissed off about something.:uzi
I know, I got one afew years ago. Was being passed by a red 240, while trying to turn in to a grocery store (he passed me on the right, in the turn lane). I was forced to go straight, then turned around at the next intersection, to return to the grocery store. One cop nailed the 240, and one came after me. I was with my wife in my Nissan truck! I got pissed at the cop, and argued with him (bad mistake). I called the prosecutor, and he dropped the "Attempting to allude", but upheld the 69 in a 45 (I was going about 15 MPH!, and trying to turn!):bsflag Call the City prosecuter, now! Explain the situation (A brand-new $48,000.00 car sitting on the side of an expressway is dangerous).
The prosecuter does not want to send your wife to jail, so he will dismiss it. Ask to disnmiss the ticket, as well, for traffic school.
Hope my experience helps.
