The last couple of times I used my window washers I noticed the fluid smells foul. Whats up with that? I know its probably just old fluid, but it smells as if a small rodent crawled up there and o-d'd on washer fluid. Is there an easy procedure to drain and change the washer fluid?.

Thanks

if it's anything like my car you could always unbolt it and pull the pump out, or just turn it upside down after taking it out I guess, but I never been under the hood of a q...

LOL.

The problem is you're not using full-syn washer fluid. Costs more, but works better. AND it won't smell like a dead rodent...

:D

Take the lid off, put the garden hose in there and blast away. Let it flush awhile, then run the washers until clear water comes out. Then refill with your favorite washer fluid.

Man, a few years ago I bought a used 1988 Mazda 929. It was gorgeous, with metallic tan paint, leather, and a silky 3.0L V6. Plenty of torque, and whipped plenty of ricers. I miss that car.

Anyway, I was taking a drive up north with some friends, had the sunroof open. I hit the wiper washer and it shot wiper fluid for a while, but then out came this yellow crap that went past the windshield and on my girlfriend's head. The wipers going didnt make it any better, as it smeared this yellow crap all over my windshield.

Turns out it was mustard. There were condiments in my wiper fluid! Pulled over at a gas station to clean it off. I was baffled.

The dealer I got the car from didnt know what the deal was.

The first time I used my squirters on my Q, a gel like substance glopped out on the hood and windshield. It made a nasty mess. I did a thorough flush wiht a garden hose, and some cheap windshield cleaner, from autozone, until it ran clean. I had to run the pump for a long time.

That mustard sounds like a mad girlfriend, or a stupid best-man trick at a wedding.

It took a friend over 5 years, to get the vaseline out of his gas cap door area.

The stupid low washer fluid message came on my car, so I just put water in it........

Im gonna flush it out real good and then add new stuff........ Right before an oil change so they can "top off my fluids"........ :D

One of the nipples where the hose connects to the washer is broken..... Only a shard remains....... whenever Id connect it, it work for a second, and then it would disconnect and then spray all over!!!

Nothing a little plastic glue cant handle!!!
