So, this week on my spring break, I am to partake in my Walk to Emmaus. I can't wait. Everyone I know who's been on a Walk tells me how great an experience this will be for me.

Hey now, if he's excited about it, then don't take away from it.

Congrats. I knew of a few people doing that a few years ago. They were pretty excited and kept talking about it forever... for like.. 3 weeks.

Have a good time. I'm guessing after reading their website, that you were obviously chosen, since you can't just attend, and have to be sponsored.

Do you actually walk anywhere, or is it just a three day course of talks and prayer?

lol.

Sorry, nothing against religion... but this quote unfortunately epitomizes the bulk of religious people I have met.

lol. I was stuck for like... 20 minutes trying to figure out how to word it.

Trust me, I don't like how most other religious people go about it either.

Thanks. Yeah, my mother tells me something new everyday about the walk and what to expect. Honestly, I don't want to expect anything. I hear they feed you like every 30 minutes. Should be fun.

Yeah, you need a sponsor. My uncle is sponsoring me for my walk. No walking besides from your room to wherever you need to go.

When I first saw the thread title, I thought you meant Emmaus, Pennsylvania, (a nice little town in near Allentown),which is a loooong walk from Texas...

Good luck.

I went on Chrysalis a few years back, and that's pretty much the same thing as Emaus, except it's with "flights" instead of "walks". It was an awesome experience. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Get a good pair of walking shoes. Jesus doesn't slow down for shin splints.

The funniest thing about this is I am religious. But I believe you don't have to walk, ride bikes, or swim for religion. Whats next the decathalon for Budda.

I've written tons of letters to people over the years for people doing this although I never cared enough to go myself. Have fun. Should be a great experience.
