Welp, I've put about another hundred hours into the project since my last update, so here's some pictures.

I had the car tuned pretty well naturally aspirated and it felt great. The turbo is now completely plumbed up (minus a blow off valve), and needs several more hours of tuning done to reach my power goals on the stock 370cc injectors.

Anyway, here's two pictures:

Looks awesome so far Jeff. It's nice to see some progress on this forum...it seems like it's been really slow lately. Have you ever looked at a spec sheet on the stock injectors? They can flow some pretty good amounts of fuel with an increased duty cycle and pressure. I just scanned this quickly to show you incase it would help any.

By the way, how did you get the plenum so clean? I had mine hot tanked and it didn't come out near that nice.

Thanks for the injector info post. It looks like the stock ones should be good for 500whp or so.

I painted the whole engine with "Cast Aluminum" color paint...gives it a cleaner look.

That is looking extremely awesome Jeff. Are you using the Q45 ECU? Also, what PSI are you going to be tuning for? I am working on my turbo tune for my Q45 but have some more maintenance work to do before I really get any tuning done. I am just running 3.6 PSI now on the stock ECU but will be trying to tune it up to 8 PSI using stock injectors and methanol injection, hoping to hit 500hp. I might add a boost referenced FMU but not sure yet. I'd be really interested in how your tune goes so hopefully you will be posting some details.

I love how you mounted the turbo, that is really cool, A+.

Thanks

To begin, I'll probably only be running 10psi or so, which should come close to maxing out the 370cc injectors around 500whp...I'm hoping I can attain this on pump gas safely, but we'll see.

Once I upgrade the injectors I'll be striving for much higher power levels, on stock internals.

Yes, I'm tuning the stock ECU via burning eproms. It's a slow process since I currently don't have an emulator, but very reliable once a tune is made.

I'm glad you are tuning the same way as me. Will you be willing to share the tuning info you gather? Sounds like your tune will be about the same as mine. I am using TunerPro and have a few bins for various applications that I've found if you are interested in checking them out. You may already have everything you need anyway but let me know if you are looking for something I may have.

I assume you are using an 8 bit ECU? '94 and up use a 16 bit ecu but I have an older one that I'm using for tuning that is 8 bit.

It looks like you are using the stock water pump with the trunk mounted radiator? Are you using some sort of electric pump as a helper? Or is the belt driven pump by itself? Thanks
