Since I haven't posted a picture of my vert yet here you guys go. Still about stock other then 5spd. It's fairly dirty inside since I haven't got a chance to vacuum it out. Gotta love winter time and break downs.

I'll update this thread as I do work to it.

added a freebox from ebay. I had to break the bottom pieces that are supposed to hold the cups up so it would fit cups because of fitment. It holds medium size drinks now so I'm happy. I got le_ryan fabbing up a center cup holder thing to so I should be adding that in at some point.

Ok quick update. The headgasket blew now. I ordered my sr20 today. My Ka is on the floor right now in the garage. It appears the place I bought the car from had replaced the head. Maybe they didn't torque properly. Everything looks really new when I started taking the ka apart. I was unsure about the bottom end so I opted to go sr20 rather then ka-t. I will update with some pics as I get more done. I have pics uploaded on my myspace of taking the engine apart but I don't have any since I have taken the engine out. Oh and the cup holder has been in awhile but the seats are filled with parts right now. Since I took things apart to get the ecu and wiring harness out. My myspace url is http://www.myspace.com/scott.richardson for anyone who really wants to look at part by part taking apart the ka before I decided it would be way easier to just remove the engine to get the intake manifold off.

here is the pic of the cup holder install. It's pretty dirty right now as the car is sitting with no motor or transmission. No engine or transmission. Time to start scrubbing on the engine bay soon. The ka on the floor A pile of parts I won't be using most of these. Except the wiring harness. Not going to need these anymore either

The cup holders almost look oem. I still don't have cupholders in my car. That was on my to-do list 4 years ago and I still never got around to doing it. It seems like there is always something else.

Go get some made. I have been pretty rough on mine. It's all off round looking now. Plus the kids like to push on them and stuff.

Oh and a quick update. I bought a greddy FMIC and a TIAL BOV. Still waiting on my motor though. I pulled the front bumper and the bumper support tonight. I still have to remove the windshield washer fluid bottle. or just move it haven't decided what to do yet.

OMG UPS was supposed to deliver the engine today. They never showed up or called. I call around almost 4pm like where is my engine. They tell me it was delivered at 12:10. I said no it wasn't. They said are you sure? I am like I think I would notice an engine and transmission sitting outside of the house. I am pretty sure they didn't deliver it. So then they call the Cincinnati hub. They say oh the lady there said she has been trying to call you all day. They foward my call to her she says she just got my paperwork in front of her. I called off today so I could be home to get my engine. She tells me they rolled my engine over and it was leaking all over the place. I said umm no they drain them before they ship them. It made it from Canada to Cincinnati with no issues. She tells me I need to contact the company that sent it they may need to clean it up etc. Before they ship it to me. I call them they say yes we drain them UPS is a pain to deal with if anything is broken on the engine just call us and we will fix it. So I call UPS again and speak with the manager he says because it's leaking it is unsafe to bring it to me. So I say if I come up there with a truck will you load it on the back. He says ya sure. So I ended up having to get a U-Haul truck go get my motor and then take it off the u-haul with my cherry picker. In short UPS forgot to put it on the truck in the morning. They are morons. The "oil" that was leaking was hydraulic fluid. It made a few little spots in the back of the U-Haul. Far from major leaking like he claimed. I guess old engines aren't supposed to leak at all. I am just glad I got it in finally. Now the real fun part starts.

I might I have a friend that has a coupe sitting with no motor or transmission in it right now. He is going to sell me it for cheap after I get finished on this. He has a motor for it I think the auto transmission is all that was wrong with it. I will have to check with him first before I start selling off KA parts.
