So, I am new to the forum but I have an issue already.

Everytime I get over 45mph there is a strong whistle that everyone in the cabin can hear. It almost sounds like its coming from the steering wheel column or maybe the vents... not sure.

Is your side mirror flush against the body? Long ago there were posts of folks with the same problem, and it was the way the mirror was installed at the factory. Warranty fix, too!

Don't know about a whistling going 45 or over but...

If you hear a constant tone whine when turning the wheel to the left, you may have a bad electric steering assist.

There's an electric power steering assist assembly that may be going bad. Take it back to the dealer and have him take a listen.

It's called an EPS steering column assembly. Also, a spiral ring may need replaced as well.

Take the Versa to a parking lot and start driving slowly making left turns. If you hear it the whine, this is what it is.

The whistle noise is a wind that seems to be entering the cabin. No I do not have a bug deflector and the mirror seems fine, but I guess I will take it into the dealer. Maybe see what they say.

Both of mine started whistling after the bug deflector was installed. It's the price to pay for protecting the front end.

I just turn the stereo up!

Lol, ya kind of annoying. It took me a while to figure it out. Kind of sucked because I installed it last summer before we went on a 3000 km road trip to Myrtle Beach. I hardly even notice it now though, I guess I've grown used to it. However, I noticed that it never really whistled that much during the winter months. Weird

That's because cold air is denser. It'll whistle at a lower pitch....
