I will have to check them out when I get home from work. I need to collect my vacation pictures and write up a little post. The finger lake region of NY is probably not as near exciting as Roma and Syria.bud

I'm guessing all the green lights are mosques? And why green?

yeah, green lights are mosques. this is a small portion of the actual damascus skyline. the city is 8 million ppl strong.

also, green, because its considered a holy country. hence the green saudi flag.

I did not know that. Reminds me of Thailand where my cousin lives/works. Each day of the week is represented by a color. So when there is an event commemorating the Royalty, everyone wears that color and the whole country is decorated in the color as well. I believe the King's color is Yellow and the Princess's color is Purple. I guess it's not that far off from the colors that are used to commemorate the Church seasons and certain events.

T-does the picture that I linked look slanted to one side?

Still a beautiful picture.

We had a diversity fair today at work. We had representation from the former Soviet Union (Russian Speaking Student Club at IUPUI), Denmark, Scotland and other random stuff. Nothing from the Middle East though. Even though we are well represented here at work (Iranians, Iraqis, Pakistanis...).bud
