Cool the paint holds even with the heat?

Everyone should start making the introduction section into a showoff section Thats possibly the best idea I have ever had right there.

It's been on since August with no peeling or chipping yet. I did three layers of the spray paint and it's held up great. I'm thinking of doing other parts of the engine bay the same way, like the fuse box and the covers for the coolant, brake fluid, and oil.

Alright, time for some updates on my plans for the Versa:

Will be ordering tail light tint film from amazon soon. It is supposed to be a versa specific tint kit... we'll see

Painting pillars BLACK to match interior. Leaving the headliner as is per recommendations :)

Looking into new headunits now. Possibly the SONY XNV660BT. Nav, bluetooth, dvd, ipod, its got it all

Looking into removing the stock muffler and replacing it with something a little more aggressive sounding.. And no, its not a cherry bomb.

That's it for now!

Ok, for my next upgrade, I am stuck between 3 options. I have a little biut of extra spending money from working my a$$ off the last couple weeks putting in overtime, so I thought I'd reward myself with a little present for the Versa. I'm torn between a couple of options.

1: Tail light tint film+front and rear windshield tint bar.

2: Front strut bar

3: Window visors

I want to eventually get all 3, but I have to do it over time so I don't go and blow all my money at once. All 3 options cost about the same price. This will most likely be the LAST upgrade I make until after Christmas, so what do you guys think I should get? All opinions are welcome! I'm kind of leaning towards the window visors, but just barely.

You will get more enjoyment out of the Front strut bar, im sure of that.

However I LOVE my window visors especially in the morning and evening other than that they are just for looks. (In my opinion)

Tail light tint film and the tint bars are really that expensive? Wow I only paid 85 to tint my car all the way around. Of course I found a guy that was willing to do it after hours for 50 dollars cheaper but still 135 is cheaper than 200. I dunno bout that one, maybe you should check around more on that one. Estimates range from 100 for cheap tint or small TINT ONLY shops to over 400 for crazy insane custom places.

Still if its 1 of the 3 go for the strut bar!

I am most likely going to get the strut bar. And, I did some more painting in the engine bay today.

Added a little red. Only problem is, all I can think of now when I look at it is super mario..

Sorry for the poor quality pictures, I had to take them using my phone.

Started working on a battery cover today. It'l basically sit directly on the battery and hide the termionals/wiring and make it look a little cleaner AND be painted to match the rest of the engine bay.

Here's a picture of the battery cover:

It still needs to be glued, primed, painted, and sealed.

And here's a picture of the VERSA CAM

Alright nicoclub. It's been awhile since I've posted on here, but there have been a lot of changes to My V, so I wanted to at least update this thread and show everyone what I've been up to.

Added Chinese Tiida Knobs. Got them from ebay for ~$20 (old knob is the one on the right)

Hey Nico. I know its been awhile, but its hard staying active on all the forums I'm attached to. Just wanted to get on here and tell you guys about my new project:

Image

I know.. I crossed into the dark side. Its a 1984 Mazda RX-7 GS. I'm doing a full restoration on her. Right now the car is stripped and im working on repairing all the plastic trim. After that will be new carpet and reupholstering everything. I still have the V, but its about as far as I want it, and I wanted to get a fun project car with plenty of aftermarket support. The plan right now is to turn it into a nice weekend cruiser. Not looking for big power or driftability, just a nice clean ride.
