Quote:In 1996, MPC Level 3 was announced:
75MHz Pentium CPU 8MB RAM 540MB hard disk Video system that can show 352 x 240 at 30 frames per second, 15-bit color MPEG-1 hardware or software video playback 4x CD-ROM drive using no more than 40% of CPU to read, with < 250ms seek time Sound card outputting 44KHz, 16-bit sound Windows 3.11 "end quote"
My point being, MPEG-1 playback was a STANDARD in pre-1996.. It's 2005... ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL computers can support mpeg-1. ANY direct-x will support mpeg-1
Granted, the last line,,, drivers, wrong/old/bad/etc VIDEO drivers can/will cause bad hardware mpeg playback. Direct-x updates will not resolve mpeg-1 playback problems as direct-x 5.0 supported mpeg-1 playback..Forgive my bickering....
What player are you using to playback the video files? I'd HIGHLY sugguest """MEDIA PLAYER ""CLASSIC"" """It's a universal player that looks like the "classic" media player v. 6.X (not the stupid bubbly graphical McDonalds FAST FOOD kid video game media player 50,000,000!!!!!!!!!!!).. It's short, sweet, feature ritch, and not filled with CRAP.
Cheers
ps. (choose "start", run, type in mplayer2 (manual command for the older media player 6.X, drag the video from where ever you saved it to over to the media player window..).
