I plan to turbo my High milage ka24e (180k) still running strong, Im going to run about 4 - 4.5 psi, and I do not want to rev the engine high, how does this set up sound?

turbo= Te04h ( small turbo, should spool fast on 4psi maby top out at 4500 rpm??)

Fuel= Stock injectors, z32 fuel filter, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, fpr, and fmu (which should I buy 12:1, or 8:1??)

Misc= starion fmi, dsm bov, and 2.5" exhaust.

How does this set up sound? Should it be safe on my ka24e?I just want something that will give me a litle more power, With this set up should I be around 180 Hp? I plan to AutoX and do some drifting

check compression to know if its safe. its pointless to get a really small turbo, you will do tons of work for very little gains. at the least I would recommend a z31 t3, just because they are about as available as the turbo you are suggesting and will provide you with much better breathing room.

8:1 is still very rich from what I have discovered. I have read that the stock fuel system can cover 4 psi, but I wouldnt go with that. a small FMU, i dont know exactly what sizes they come in, but a 4:1 should be sufficient to keep you running at 4psi.

I got the teo4h for free, That is why I was going to use it:rolleyes: but I am thinking of just going with the z32 t/3If I was to use the Te04H,, would I see any gains? Posibly more lower power, and it will die up top?, I do not plan to rev past 4500 rpm, as my engine has high milage and I just want a little gain, maby 30-60 hp so with this in mind, would the TE04H be ok not to rev over 4k and show some gains, maby a fast spool up? thanks

dont go with a z32, they are t25, and perhaps even smaller than the turbo you already have. you can sell your current turbo and for little money, assuming its in good condition, get a z31 for not much more of an investment.

z31 T3 years 84-87 300zx

you would still see gains, and in the range that you are looking at, but you will want to go higher.

btw, I have 89 coupe with 168k miles turbod at 7psi, and running strong with z31 turbo.
