so afther having so many issues with this damn car, i decide to do a final boost/vacuum leak test just to be sure n get it out of my head.plug my valve cover, ect...but this time i put the tester on the hot pipe.(took it of the turbo).. turn my air to 40 -50 psi like i had before, n guess what, i hear a noise not leaks or anything but bubbling, look around n it was coming from my t28 n could hear the air coming from the exhaust, so i took my intake/maf/filter s*** off n yep, u know it i was half way full of oil so im thingking my seals gone bad or my return line is so f-up that it had nowere to go but out the seals????????what gets me is that i just paid 474.00 dollars for this damn thing, dint even took it out for a test drive/ just reving it and seconds before, my car was idling fine/afrs were normal, howver i was havin trouble getting it to spool up if i hit the throttle fast so i had to easly give it gas. so i guess im f#$% or can i just have the seals replacemy return line does look like a S b/c i put the bung next to the a/c on the left(for top mount setup )instead of on the right, n u know that the t28 sits right above the motor mount so i guss im the one that f=up if i was to fix my return line , would it make a diffrence or the turbo is just sol, i did have a restritor by the way..what u opinion???if in goin to have to buy anothr turbo im just sayin the hell with it n got topmount

First off, isn't 50psi a bit much to be testing a little t28?

Second, yeah your return should have been as straight as possible to avoid that problem...

What kind of turbo was it? A quality brand turbo should've lasted longer, even with a s shaped return line,

was the turbo new, used?

well the turbo was used, but it was so much b/c it came directly from japan, so shipping was kind of high, i also remove the turbo last night n it has barely any play, same amount as when i got it. wich is almost none, yall htink that if i fix my return line it would still leak??????

for what i seen it only sem to have oil on the comp side the exhaust side was clean no oil residue n it dint smoke at all. is there anyway to check the seals now that i have th turbo off?????????

btw it a garrett t28, same as the gt2560r i believe a/r60comp,a/r64 exhaust

Fix your return line, but there's a chance the turbo had a blown seal when you bought it

Hopefully you can rebuild it if's it's non-bb
