Well these are Amsoil filters, quite a bit larger than the ones most people use, but better filtration. So it's a trade off :)

Haven't been doing much on Shibui lately, except driving her :) Almost 3 weeks since I did anything and I'm loving it! Had to take a break and just enjoy her. I still have a lot of little details to do, and decided I'm going to do the 13" rear brake upgrade and probably PT coilovers as I wasn't 100% satisfied when taking her on the Tail of the Dragon, although she handled really well.

Here is a pic of what I did on Saturday. Pulled all this crap out in pieces and changed to the 1 piece Stainless steel clutch line.

Along the top of the firewall, then down behind the heat shields on the passenger side that the old clutch lines were in

Quick Update: I installed new 5 1/4" speakers up front and have 6 1/2 on their way for the rear. Also re-did all the wiring behind the radio and to the rear as the PO butchered it all and twisted wires and electrical tape everywhere. Now soldered and shrink tubing. And I installed the new solid shifter bushings.. feels much better now.

Next week I hope to get the issue with the AC figured out, install the 6.5s. In September, when the new styles come out, I will be installed a set of Powertrix RT coilovers and somewhere around there bigger brakes in the rear.

Good stuff! I just installed my PT R/T coilovers in the TT as well, hope to have it all set up and aligned soon...be sure to post up the new ones so we can see any differences/updates!

Car looks really good. I'm posting only because I just noticed you have a 1968 311 Roadster. I had no idea what that was. I had to look it up on google images. Nice car! You should post up a picture of that as well.

Thanks! I have a link in my sig to it's build thread, it's moving slowly because I left it in Louisiana for now. I go there 3-4 times a year and do a little to it. I will bring it down next year to jump on it full time.

Well I've been just enjoying driving the Z, not much work done to it lately. I did install a 10" JL W3 in the floor where the spare tire used to be, I need to take good pics to show it. But I wanted to pop in what is happening Monday....

LOVE my UL's. Badass coils for sure. I was surprised by how light they actually were. The name isn't just clever advertising.

It's almost a shame to put them in there, knowing the first mud puddle just starts messing them up.
Mine looked so crappy when I took 'em out of the NA, I just HAD to clean them 100% back to factory spec...just HAD to! :chuckle: :yesnod

Thanks broski!

Yeah DCaff, they are too pretty, but once I get my 15mm spacers in, I don't care if they get dirty, because she is getting ridden hard and put up wet :rotfl

Oh HELL yeah! :mike
I think I put 1K on the NA after I put them in way back, the handling change is way too fun.

Just jumped back in to this thread and saw I never posted the update.... so the short of it for the coilovers is here: http://nicoclub.com/archives/product-re ... overs.html

Long of it is, I got real busy with work and was driving a company car and the Z sat for a while. Once I started playing with it again, one of the turbos blew so I took it into a local shop because I didn't feel like getting under it again. After about $2400 for two new turbos and she's back in good shape
