Well, while I'm here, I'll give an update. And my 500th post! Bought the stuff at lowes to rig up a fuel pressure gauge. The car runs great when it's getting fuel, but then it just drops out, bottoms out, then comes back up. So I'm thinking it is the fuel pressure regulator. Hoping it is that and not the iacv.

Once that is figured out, it's time to drive her and start breaking her in. Still have a collapsed lifter on the drivers side, so can't wait to drive it and free that thing up. Very annoying to listen to :/ but on a good note, no more leaks! The new clutch feels great, and loving the sound of the catless 2.5" exhaust!

Also, tomorrow my new front bumper comes in, so the next couple of weeks will be spent fixing dents on the hood and fenders so I can paint the front cap when I paint the bumper. Almost time to put insurance on it!

Finished up a couple of loose ends today. Waiting for my FPR to come in so it runs right and I can start breaking her in. But some pics below! For Christmas I got a front bumper, and it came in yesterday. Here are some pics of the first dry fit! And a few extra now that it is on the ground. After I get it running correctly, I'll work on the camber correction up front, then get it alligned and space the fronts out flush. The rear will stay as is, I've already rolled and spaced the rear to my liking.

Did you paint the car yourself? What did you use? Spar Gun or Spray Cans?

Lol, I'd never use cans. It's not painted yet, I'll be doing a white single stage for now as I repair each panel, then later this year it will be Kodiak Brown with a black roof.

So good and bummer news. Good news is I took her out for her maiden voyage/break in today. Got my FPR in and fuel issue is gone. She ran great and no smoke when I got back, so I can 'X' off the bottom end. The bummer is the lifter is still REALLY loud. So I must have a bad lifter, even after following the article on TT.net about refreshing them. Sooooo, this weekend I will be tearing into it. I used a cardboard tube to locate the loudest spot, and it is right on the #4 cylinder, can't tell whether intake or exhaust.

Good thing I did all the deletes/reroutes. At least pulling the plenum won't be too cumbersome. Just not looking forward to setting the timing while its in the car :(

dang, that's really unfortunate. At least she's still running! Just a couple little things and she'll be purring like a kitten!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO! Took her out for her first real drive today! And got the plate on it... She's LEGAL!!!! Now if that darn lifter would just release.... So freaking embarrassing to crank it up. If it doesn't release by another 50 miles and an oil change, I'll have to tear into it.

But if felt great!

What?!?
Now that sucks, does she have any plans to "go back to the Z side"?

Not to my knowledge. She posted on bookface the other day that she missed the Z, but I don't know that she's ever gonna go back. I'm pretty sure she's rocking a Del Sol now. That's the car showing up the most in her posts now.

That's a shame about her car. I was always waiting to see a picture of it with the trailer-hitch she had mentioned for hauling her bike.

Still fixing some of the 'woes' of the build. But figured I would post a pic of my two 'broom-brooms' as my two year old son calls them

Beutiful combination you have there. Hoping to end up with a similar combo of diesel tow rig and Nissan sports car some day, only I'm a chevy boy ;) Is the planned paint for the Z going to match the truck?
