hey guys. im down to my last problem. it seems as if my timing is off on my s13. the car does have a s14 motor , which you all probably know by now. i was trying to see if anyone has a verbal diagram of where i need to set the timing marks. i saw that there was one on both of the camcranks and one on another crank below those in the head . im pretty sure to do this, it involves turning the crank pulley. any help would be appreciated.

if you have to turn the pulley definately make sure you dont have any cams in the car, if you are the least bit unsure of their timing, unless you are a huge fan of bent valves

get the fsm, it will show you where the cam dots are supposed to be, or look at the jim wolf technology cam install page that will help

or just look at the sticky at the top of this forum. the exhaust cam's dot is in the right place, but the intake cam is rotated forward four teeth

so just imagine the dot moved clockwise four teeth, or two chain pots.

the cam lobes on the first cyl in those pictures are absolutely correct, so thats what you are shooting for, they face away from each other, adn slightly upwards, just slightly

got the timing all set. it was easier than i thought. the tools that i used to perform the surgery were: 1 1/16 socket, 1/2in ratchet, a 2ft long stick from a pecan tree ( for tdc location ), light, and a 24oz of powerade. total time: 45min.
