well after 4 years of dreaming about it. ive finally (sucessfully) built my home grown KA-T i built the mani the downpipe and pieced it all together. i had a LOT of "this will never werk" and "why are you wasting time on that pos" from my loving brother. and still i have prevailed! and the best was when i took him for a ride he said "HOLY S**T this thing puts me in my seat!" i mainly wanted to post up because i havent seen much on 240s with super 20g(plenty of dsm info on em) so here are the specs.... 9 psi on the gauge 10-1 to 9.5-1 afrs for now (i know its way rich but its my first experiance with turbo and im starting fat) dialed timing back to 15 btdc converted small 16g to super 20g externally gated with a china wastegate ( fell apart already but i took it apart and tightened everything works awesom now) full boost by about 3300 rpms old skool hks bov. my boost source for the bov and wastgeate are coming from the intake. blowthru e60 maf. which for me runs awesome on 2in 5out settings on my safc2 sti 550cc yellow top injectors and just pin clips till i get my new connectors.
first impression: god damn......im a v8 guy always will be and i thought ls1 was the end all be all for this car. but for how little i spent and how great it works on an 8psi spring with no tune im hooked.... spun 2nd with a short shift and ive got a meaty 255 out back and a lsd

The 20g is a fantastic turbo, I've been running a internally gated t-2 flange one for the last 3 years on my sr. Until I put on the BFG KDW's(255's) I could fry tires at will in 2nd and through 3rd.(with 265 michelin pilot sports)

Ditch the safc nothing good will come from it, look into a jim wolf or enthalpy tune, it will be the most cost effective way for you to get a decent tune without taking the risk of popping the motor.

thanks man ....yea i sent an ecu and money to a company that screwed me and wont answer my emails phone etc :bs: .... so i just dont trust any one and dont have an extra ecu layin around any more to send (not that jwt or enthalpy arent amazing and trust worthy companies they are from what ive read the past 5 years on em :yesnod ) id rather do it my self . im eventually goin to go with nistune i know enough to get my self goin on that and for the price and experiance i think it will be the best way to go for me. :bigthumb:
